Steps to follow:

So, this week we will be working on making information brochures about the countries where our ESL students come from. You will make a brochure about your country, highlighting the most important things from your country and culture. Scroll down to see an example of what your brochure should look like.

Here's how to start:

1. Click on "All Programs" and then on "Microsoft Office."

2. Then click on "MS Publisher."

3. When MS Publisher opens, click on "Publications for print" in the left menu.

4. Click on "Brochures" in the left menu.

5. Choose a template for your brochure, and start putting in pictures and information!

Project Requirements:

*The project is due by the end of class on Friday, February 10th.*

You MUST include:

COVER PAGE:

  • A front cover with your full name, your country name, and a picture of your flag and country.

  • A SOURCES page on the back cover.

  • Country information along with two maps as shown. (The first map shows where your country is in the world. The second map shows the states/departments/regions of your country).

INSIDE:

  • Photo and information of the capital city of your country, and one other major city.

  • FIVE aspects of culture explained, with photos. (You may use the paragraphs and photos you used for the "culture cube" if you want).

When you are finished, you must SAVE your brochure as YOUR NAME in the "Country Brochure" folder in "Shared" => "Glick"
